Es ist Hochsommer in Schattin, einem Kaff im Norden von Mecklenburg-Vorprommern. Die 24-jährige Christin (Saskia Rosendahl) lebt hier mit ihrem ein Jahr älteren Freund Jan (Rick Okon) auf dem Milchviehhof seines Vaters mitten in der Provinz. Hier gibt es fünf Häuser, eine Bushaltestelle, Kühe und jede Menge Felder. Von der Aufbruchstimmung der Nachwendejahre, die die Jugend von Jan und Christin prägte, spüren sie schon seit langer Zeit rein gar nichts mehr. Hinzu kommt, dass auch ihre Liebe zueinander weitgehend erloschen ist. Christin hat dieses Leben mehr als nur satt und will aus der provinziellen Enge Schattins verschwinden. "Action" by Günter Brus. At first Kren did not want to show the film, because the image is underexposed. A copy of the negative material turned out to be better than the original material and so Kren did show the film. The film's title relates to Brus' use of silver paper for his action.
